Jason Biggs was NOT fired from “Orange Is The New Black” over his “greed,” despite a false and sensationalized Star report about the actor’s departure from the hit Netflix prison series. Gossip Cop can exclusively debunk the story.

Star claims “money was the main reason” for Biggs’ exit from the show. “He wanted to double up by working on the show and also auditioning for network pilots at the same time,” explains a so-called “source” for the magazine. “He wasn’t prepared to dedicate himself solely to the project, as promised.”

According to Star, Biggs was “ungrateful and unreasonable,” so producers on the series allegedly decided to write him out of “Orange Is The New Black.” The so-called “insider” tells the outlet, “He burned some serious bridges. It’s feasible that he could still return, because he has a close friendship with the creator, Jenji Kohan. But he would have to do some major groveling.”

We wish Star had to do “major groveling” for every story it messed up. Biggs may not be returning for Season 3 of “Orange Is The New Black,” but it’s NOT because of an ugly fight over money with producers. A rep for Biggs tells Gossip Cop exclusively that the Star report is “ridiculous and absolutely untrue.”
